Dr. Hilary Quinn was born and raised in the Bay Area and came to Santa Barbara in 2000. She attended UCSB where she received her B.S. in Zoology from UCSB in 2002. She met her husband Andy over a shark liver dissection in an ecology course, and they have been inseparable ever since. They lived in Goleta, Los Angeles, and Bozeman prior to moving to Massachusetts for Veterinary School. Dr. Quinn graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and promptly moved back to California, where she completed a rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles specialty hospital. She dived into clinical practice and has been loving it ever since! She and her husband Andy opened Wilder Animal Hospital in April of 2022, and greatly enjoy the trials and tribulations of being hospital owners. Dr. Quinn’s professional interests include dermatology, internal medicine, general surgery, and dentistry. At home, she enjoys gardening, camping, skiing, and spending time with her two human kiddos. Her menagerie currently includes a rescue Saluki from Qatar, an Australian Shepherd from Santa Margarita, a kitty who controls the local gopher population, 2 Beta fish, and 6 chickens who think they deserve access to the entire yard at all times.

When not distracting our staff with mundane managerial requests or chatting up our wonderful clientele, Andy can be found unclogging drains, plodding around the roof inspecting the HVAC unit, making coffee runs for our amazing staff, or any and all other unglamorous duties to keep our happy machine running smoothly. Andy’s other job is shooting and directing documentaries and commercials, which has taken him around the world to some of Earth’s most spectacular places. His greatest passion is for experiencing the natural world, professionally and personally, alone or with friends and family.
